Transmissions Fail Every Year
Changing fluids regularly is good preventative maintenance!
Your vehicle’s automatic transmission fluid should be changed at
manufacturer recommended intervals to assure trouble-free
shifting and to extend the life of the transmission. We suggest
that you consult your Owner’s Manual and replace this important
fluid as suggested, or we can look the recommended interval up
for you on our Mitchell On-Demand computer system. Replacing all
of the old fluid with fresh fluid will better clean, cool and
lubricate the internal transmission parts.
A traditional transmission service will only replace about 30%
of the old fluid. At one time it was impossible to drain the
fluid trapped in areas such as the torque converter, clutch
drums and valve body. With newer technology and equipment, the
ASE-certified professionals at Tire Kingdom / Merchant’s are
able to replace virtually 100% of the old fluid with new
transmission fluid.
Old Transmission Fluid

As fluid ages, contaminants build up, viscosity breaks down and
your vehicle’s transmission is left vulnerable to breakdowns
even from normal daily wear and tear.
